CONQUEROR OF THE SKIES Never seen before, and probably one of the last to see. Complete parade dress unifrom of a general-colonel of the Soviet airforce. With an impressive career starting somewhere before the second world war, this high
ranking officer made his way up through the ranks fighting on the
battlefields of eastern Europe: defending Moscow and Leningrad from the fascist invaders, liberating the occupied Warszawa and Prague winter 1944-1945, capturing the Hungarian capital of Budapest by april 1945.
The field of battle was then changed to the far East, where the Soviet armed forces liberated Manchuria and Northern Korea from the Japanese occupiers. His career didn't end by the peace, he stayed within the airforce during the length of the cold war, he recieved a honorable award from China in 1951 and the second highest Soviet award "Order of the October Revolution" during the seventies. He also got the respected political order "Friendship of Nations". Member of the "Eesti NSV Ulemnoukougo", Estonian SSR "Highest Soviet".
The set is simply excellent. The set is superb, having no flaws or damages at all. The size of the uniform is 54, the trousers are size 54 and the cap is size 60. In U.S. sizes, this is 44-46 for jacket, 38 for trousers and 7 1/2 for the visor cap.
