MARSJAL SOVJETSKOGO SOUYZA   The military rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union was established by a decree of the Soviet Cabinet, the Council of People's Commissars (Sovnarkom), on September 22, 1935.

The rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union was in practice the highest military rank of the Soviet Union. (The highest rank in theory, Generalissimo of the Soviet Union, was created for Joseph Stalin and held by him alone). The rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union was created in 1935 and abolished in 1991. (Information from Wikipedia.com).

It has been indicated (but unfortunately not prooved) that this uniform belonged to the Marshal of the Soviet Union Kirill S. Moskalenko. Moskalenko joined the Red Army in 1920, Army Commander during WWII, General of the Army, Commander of Moscow military district, 1953-60; Commander-in-Chief of the Missile Forces, 1960-62, Chief Inspector of the Defence Ministry, 1962-82. Born 1902, dead 1985.

Being twice honoured with the title 'Hero of the Soviet Union' (1943 and 1978), Moskalenko held seven Orders of Lenin, the Order of October Revolution, five Orders of the Red Banner, two orders of Suvorov Ist class, two Orders of Kutuzov Ist class, Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Ist class, Order for service to Motherland IIIrd class and the Order of the Great Patriotic War Ist class.

He also got several medals including the medal for Combat service, Defense of Kiev and Defense of Stalingrad, Liberation of Prage and Victory over Germany. Plus 11 foreign awards. He was held the title "Hero of Czechoslovakia".

Please note that the Hero of Soviet Union on this tunic are copies - the originals were not included. We would also like to mention that the Deputy of Supreme Soviet - badge did not come with the uniform, but was added were his original badge once were. On the left side of the tunic are several holes from graduation badges and other decorations worn with this uniform.

Price for this excellent set (jacket, trousers, shirt and tie) is 4000 USD.
