ENGINEERING Extremely rare M/1955 service uniform of a highly-decorated major-general of the engineering branch. Please notice, that the uniform has piping which is purple-pink raspberry coloured, not the bright red which is usually seen on generals service uniforms. Also, the embroidered collar leaves are made in a more advanced way than on the later M/69 uniforms.
The ribbon bar tells about a career of excellent skills. Three times recipient of the Order of Lenin and the Order of Badge of Honour, participation in both the defense of Stalingrad and Caucasus, the fighting against Japan and a long post-war career including awards also from other socialist countries!
The set is in excellent condition; the size of the uniform is 54, which in U.S. sizes equals 44.
