POLKOVNIK AVIATSII
Soviet aviation colonel full parade uniform from the 1990. The owner, being a pilot of good skill, served in the defense of Moscow and was lightly in the actions. In the end of the war, probably summer 1945, he was back in action and had some duty on the far east front in the war against the Japanese. It is possible that he also served as a volounteer or advisor in the Korean war for the North Koreans as he recieved the North Korean Order of the National Flag III class.
His further postwar service includes the graduation from a military academy and possibly some service in Bulgaria (apart from North Korea mentioned above), indicated by a Bulgarian war commemorative award. This could also indicate some service on the southeast european front during the war when Bulgaria was liberated from the fascist occupants.
The uniform is in excellent condition and comes with straight leg trousers for wear with shoes, visor cap (post-Soviet but fitted with Soviet insignias, about 1994) and belt. The size is 52 (US44, L-XL) and the cap is size 57 (M/L) and made in a Moscow hat factory "Tsarnitsa".

Screwback order of the Great Patriotic War Ist class and North Korean order "National flag" III class (pin back). Badges for 25th anniversary of Victory, Red Guards and Academygraduation. Pilot badge class II and yellow cloth ribbon for light injury.
