MARSJAL SOVJETSKOGO SOUYZA The military rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union was established by a decree of the Soviet Cabinet, the Council of People's Commissars (Sovnarkom), on September 22, 1935.

This uniform has an impressive ribbon bar representing a long military career in the Soviet armed forces. The awards include two Order of Lenin, two Red Banner and two Order of the Great patriotic war. The wartime campaign awards include the Defense medals for Leningrad and Stalingrad as ll as the medal for the capture of Berlin.
The buttons of the uniform are marked with the year 79 which indicates that this was the approximate production year for this uniform. This corresponds very well with the ribbon bar. The graduation badge is for a warfare college named after Budjennij. The shoulderboards has one large star and the soviet state seal for the rank of Marshal of Soviet union. The gold bullion in the star is lightly oxidized. The collar embroidery is in excellent condition.
The visor cap offered with this set is a marshals/generals cap which was sometimes used also by higher ranking marshals.
