Very nice parade uniform of a rear admiral of the Soviet baltic fleet, later possibly also the northern fleet. The uniform itself dates from 1963-1965 as the buttons are stamped 63 and 65. The set is in excellent condition with jacket, visor cap and awards. Generic Soviet navy trousers can be aquired to complete this set.

The uniform has golden embroideries around the collar and golden rank stripes around the sleeves; one wide and one standard width stripe for the rank of rear admiral. The shoulderboards have one golden star each. The visor cap is white, a combination that was allowed according to the regulations.

The awards date from about 1940 until the late 1960s, with wartime decorations such as the Order of the Great Patriotic War. Medal for Combat service and the medals for defense of Leningrad and Moscow. The owner may have been involved in shipbuilding or engineering as the medal for Victory on the industrial/labor front is present. The highest awards also include the Order of the Badge of Honour, issued in the late 1950s, two Order of the Red Star and also the medal for Labor distinctions. In the postwar years, he seem to have participated in the construction and upkeep of the northern sea icebreaker fleet. On the collar is a very nice heavy enamel badge picturing the atomic icebreaker LENIN.

The uniform is in very good condition with some light wear and staining on the left shoulder. The set includes jacket and visor cap. The belt is not included. included. The size of the jacket is 58 and the visor cap is size 57.
