The Order of the Badge of Honor was established on 25 November 1935 and conferred on citizens of the USSR for outstanding achievements in production, scientific research and social, cultural and other forms of social activity, for promotion of economic, scientific, technological, cultural and other ties between the USSR and other countries and also for significant contribution to basic and applied research as well as contributions in national life including state defense. The award was replaced in 1988 by the Order of Honor (Ordena Pocheta).

The award is in very good condition and is a type 4, variation 1 issued in 1971. The order comes with its awarding booklet revealing that the award date for this order was April 26th and the decoration was issued to its wearer about a month later. The award as well as the book and the ribbon are in excellent condition.
